The subdivision has been around for more than 20 years and it is still beautiful. It's a great place to live in a more affordable area of Austin. There's new construction going on in and around Shady Hollow by Grand Haven, Taylor Morrison,Scott Felder and Randy Rollo.
The schools are in the Bowie High School district. Bowie is a large high school offering many different classes and varied after school curriculum and sports. To get to Shady Hollow from Interstate 35 exit at Slaughter Lane. Head west on Slaughter Lane. Southpart Meadows will be on your left. It is a brand new shopping area making Southwest Austin even more convenient and sought after.
Stay on Slaughter Lane until the traffic light at Slaughter Lane and Brodie Lane. Here you turn left (south) on Brodie Ln. The first subidivion on your right is Oak Parke. Shady Hollow is the next subdivision you come to on Brodie.
To get to Shady Hollow from US 1 (Mopac,) take the Slaughter Lane exit and head east. You will pass James Bowie High School on your right. Continue on Slaughter until the traffic light at Brodie Lane and turn right (South) on Brodie.
